Who am I?
As I mentioned earlier, my name is James Van Sickle. I am originally from Ft. Worth, TX. I have been working in the IT industry for over 10 years, most of which was spend working in Dallas for dotComs and other IT-related companies. After the end of the booming 90s and 9/11 attacks, I moved to New York City for more opportunities. While in NYC, I returned to college in order to complete the Bachelors degree I began before I went full-time into the IT field. My goal at college is to prepare myself to pursue a Masters in Business Administration and higher level management opportunities.
As for the rest of my immediate family, I have been happily married to my wife Lia since 1999. Lia is currently an anthropology Ph.D. student at Southern Methodist University, and has been on several archaeological expeditions to Guatemala in the past few years. In 2006, we inherited a cat, now named Babushka, from my cousin who passed away from heat stroke due to the Texas sun and summer heat.
